Genre: Comedy
Notes: “Mask has been identified as that of the flatterer and parasite of New Comedy.” (Burns/Higgins, p. 104) Webster (MINC 2, p. 304) suggests either Mask 10 (“admirable young man”) or Mask 18 (“parasite”) however MC feels it is more plausible as Mask 17 (“flatterer” MINC 1, PP. 22-23). “…the flatterer raises his brows more maliciously” (Pollux)
