It must be noted that the size and shape of the Globe are indefinite. Many contemporary scholars believe that the reconstructed Globe is the wrong size and thus an inaccurate representation of the theatre.
The Globe depicted here is not identical to the original Globe Theatre, but is a conjectural model based on a wide range of evidence taken from historical documents, plays known to have been performed at the original Globe, pictures and engravings from the late 16th and early 17th centuries, and the findings of archaeological excavations undertaken during the last century.
