Viewpoint

A viewpoint gives access to architectural features of a venue.
In the virtual reality model, pre-defined viewpoints are represented by the human figures.

You can go to these pre-defined viewpoints by navigating through the model, using the Cosmo Player or Cortona navigation controls. Whenever you arrive at a pre-defined viewpoint the content of the viewpoint information panel will change.

VRML

VRML is an acronym for the Virtual Reality Modeling Langue.
VRML is a language that describes such things as geometry, animation, viewpoints, user interaction and colour. VRML models are models described with text that give your VRML browser instructions how to draw objects and shapes. The result is a so called three-dimensional virtual world.

A VRML browser makes the VRML models accessible through the Internet.
(A starting point for more information about VRML can be found at www.vrml.org)

The theatre models used in the THEATRON application are modelled in the modelling package 3d Studio Max and then translated and optimised into VRML.
